Mayorga Coffee to Open at National Harbor
Rockville, MD – November 5, 2008 - Mayorga Coffee is proud to announce a new Mayorga Coffee retail location to open in the celebrated National Harbor development, located on 300 acres of the scenic Potomac River in Prince George’s County, MD. The new 1,750 square foot site, centrally located on American Way, will feature Mayorga’s award-wining coffees, premium baked goods delivered daily, a full bar featuring Mayorga’s famous “Loaded Lattes”, and comfortable indoor and outdoor seating.
“We are very excited about this new location,” states Kerry Mayorga , the Vice President of Marketing and Retail Operations for Mayorga Coffee LLC. “National Harbor is a very exciting, upscale development with a great mix of retail, commercial, and hotel space. Everyone from the Peterson Companies has been very supportive in working with us to embody the Mayorga Coffee brand into this exciting space,” added Mayorga.
The new location is scheduled to open “sometime between December 15th and January 1st,” according to Jennifer Nord, Retail Supervisor for Mayorga Coffee. “We are working around the clock with the architects, contractors, and personnel from Peterson to ensure that the location is built out expeditiously while ensuring that the hallmarks of our brand are imprinted in the space. It is all very exciting,” added Nord.
The opening of the National Harbor site is part of Mayorga’s strategic retail expansion plan, which includes kiosk sites, small “downtown” coffee shop sites, and the larger coffee bar and lounge sites. “Given the success of our existing locations in hospitals, street retail, and airports, we are excited about our planned retail growth as a complement to our broadening wholesale presence,” states Martin Mayorga, President of Mayorga Coffee LLC. Simultaneously, Mayorga Coffee continues to grow its wholesale distribution to coffee houses, specialty retailers, grocers, and foodservice operators throughout the East Coast.
Mayorga Coffee is a minority-owned and operated specialty coffee importer and roaster based in Rockville, MD. The company was founded by Martin and Kerry Mayorga and has grown from two employees in 1997 to wholesale distribution throughout the East Coast and retail locations in the mid-Atlantic. My advice to any man is that it is defianetly worth a try!
