Sierra Madre de Chiapas

Mexico

In the heart of the Sierra Madre de Chiapas, inside the lush El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve, you’ll find the producers of Café La Tribu, a community-led network of coffee growers dedicated to preserving both tradition and biodiversity. With deep Indigenous roots, a spirit of resilience, and a strong commitment to sustainability, these producers are building a future for coffee that honors the land, uplifts their people, and inspires the next generation.

A New Generation of Growers

The Power of Many

Café La Tribu brings together young farmers, conservationists, and Indigenous communities in a rare and powerful alliance. Formed in 2020, the network now represents over 600 producers and 1,800 hectares of high-altitude, organic farmland in Chiapas.

Rooted in Resilience

Farming for the Future

Despite facing economic hardship and the threat of migration, these producers are investing in sustainable practices and community-driven innovation to secure a future for coffee and the people who grow it. With 40% of members being women, they’re also creating space for empowerment and generational renewal through coffee.

Direct Relationship, Shared Values
