Rich Culture, Bold Flavor

PERÚ

The beauty of Peru lies in its contrasts—from the heights of Machu Picchu to the depths of the Amazon, from its rich culture and vibrant flavors to, of course, its coffee. As one of the world’s leading producers of organic coffee, Peru plays a key role in the global coffee community—and is a country close to our hearts.

A Finca with Heart

Rooted in Purpose

Martin Mayorga, our founder, is proudly half-Peruvian and spent part of his childhood in this incredible country. His connection to Peru runs deep, making our partnership with Churupampa in the coffee region of Jaén and Chirinos all the more meaningful.

A Shift Toward Quality

Embracing Specialty

Churupampa was born from resilience and vision. Eber, its founder, grew up in a coffee-producing family in Chirinos, but once believed coffee had no future. After a life-altering medical condition forced him to return home, Eber found new purpose in coffee. With determination, he convinced his father to shift toward specialty production, and from there, Finca Churupampa was born.

Growth with Integrity

Leading by Example

Since its founding in 2014, Churupampa has grown from a local project into one of Peru’s top organic coffee exporters. Their success is grounded in community-driven growth, innovation, and a deep commitment to sustainability. Through demonstration plots, they improve yields while sharing knowledge across the region.

We’re proud to partner with Churupampa and to witness what’s possible when quality, care, and resilience come together in every cup.

Producer Information

Background

The COOPARM cooperative was established in 1990 by a local priest, Father Antonio Rodríguez Arana, who was concerned about the low prices that coffee farmers received from intermediaries. He brought a group of producers together and formed a producers association. At the beginning, they exported their coffee through another co-op, located in Piura but in 1998, they took the big step of exporting directly. They worked as a producers association until 2008, when they became a cooperative.

Currently, COOPARM has 500 members, located throughout the Rodríguez de Mendoza province. COOPARM has been recognized both locally and internationally, for being the institution in that area that has had the greatest impact, in terms of economic and social development. They are committed to continuous growth and positively impacting their community. COOPARM has experienced sustainable growth in their exports and their positioning in international markets.

They are committed to meeting the quality expectations of their clients, while at the same time implementing technical assistance programs with their members with the goal of increasing quality and productivity, thus improving their members’ livelihoods.
