Caranavi

Bolivia

Located in Caranavi, Bolivia, San Juan Cooperative was founded in 1974 with the goal of uniting producers and strengthening local coffee farming. In 1999, it earned organic certification, followed by Fair Trade certification in 2000, marking its first steps toward a more sustainable production model.

Resilience in Action

Adapting to Thrive

Víctor, the cooperative’s current president, has played a key role in its growth. In 2018, he and his team led the cooperative through one of its greatest challenges—rebuilding through diversification and renewed purpose.

Expanding Impact

A New Chapter

Since 2023, their partnership with Mayorga has been a crucial step in this journey, helping expand their reach and reinforce their commitment to quality and ethical, community-driven practices. Today, with 36 active members, San Juan Cooperative continues to grow, focused on community development and the sustainability of Bolivian coffee.

Shared Vision, Shared Values

Inspiration in Action

We are incredibly proud to work alongside San Juan Cooperative. It’s an honor to partner with producers who not only uphold the highest standards of quality but also lead with integrity, respect for the land, and deep care for the people who make this work possible.

Their commitment to sustainability, community, and progress inspires us every day—and we’re grateful to walk this journey together.
