I have to tell you I don’t like this anywhere near as well as the old Guatemalan coffee 🙁

I can’t tell for sure whether it’s a poor roast or old beans, but the taste is pretty flat. I was excited for the citrus notes, but am not getting them. I hope Mayorga is better typically and so I think I’ll try the signature blend before giving up. Fast shipment was nice.

I have tried quite a few Mayorga coffees from light roast to their Cubano roast. My favorites so far are Guatemala La Hermosa and Honduras Capucas. I am currently trying Mayan Blend. I have a French press but never use it and always do a #4 pour over. I also weigh my coffee grinds adjust slightly to get my perfect cup depending on the coffee. I could not get a good setting I liked with the Mayan, HOWEVER, I switched to my French press, been a while, and it tasted amazing! It was like I really needed glasses, finally got glasses and could suddenly see everything. In this case, I COULD TASTE EVERYTHING! I have since also tried Guatemala La Hermosa in French press and my goodness I have been missing out. WITH MAYORGA, FRENCH PRESS WAS DEFINITELY THE WAY TO GO FOR MY PERFECT CUP OF COFFEE!! AMAZING!!

The aroma of this coffee is fantastic. Is a gentle sweet aroma. It pairs perfectly with cream.
