Empowering Farmers Since 1997

Our Purpose

To lead a revolutionary organic food movement that empowers farmers and consumers, protects our environment, and celebrates our Latin American heritage.

We are constantly surprised that what started as a mission to re-balance inequities has evolved into the movement it is today.

Our Story

From Latin America to Your Cup

After spending his childhood in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica & Peru, Martin Mayorga's family arrived in the United States. Martin knew early on that coming to this country was a privilege.

He had seen first-hand the socioeconomic disparity between those who grow our food and those who sell it. By the time he was 18, he knew he had to use his access to the US market to re-balance those inequities.

Always Organic

Kind to Our Environment & Our Farmers

We focus on organic products because we believe in being kind to our environment, protecting the health and well-being of our farmers, and consuming clean, unadulterated foods.

This mindset permeates every aspect of how we run our business. Operating sustainably isn't a marketing concept — it's a conscientious decision we make daily.

Our Direct Supply Chain
From our farmers to our roasters and production staff, we are all committed to not just protecting, but enhancing the quality of all our roasted coffee beans.

Purpose First, Quality Always

One does not create quality products by chance. High quality is the result of being committed to a craft and having a purpose. From our farmers to our roasters and production staff, we are all committed to not just protecting, but enhancing the quality of all our products through every step of the process.

How We Make A Difference

Impact From Seed to Cup

Our agronomists in Latin America recommenced crop diversification and we jumped to action by planting chia with our producer partners.

Diversified Income

The "roya" plague in 2013 devastated coffee farms throughout Latin America, wiping out up to 70% of farmers' coffee harvest. Our agronomists in Latin America recommenced crop diversification and we jumped to action by planting chia with our producers in northern Nicaragua and supporting diversification programs for our farmer partners.

We are invested in sustainability at all levels not only in Latin America but at all Mayorga Coffee facilities.

Sustainable Operations

Since 1997 we've built a reputation as industry leaders by partnering with farmers rather than trading with them. We are invested in sustainability at all levels not only in Latin America but at all our facilities.

Mayorga Coffee is founded by a Latino with a focus on supporting coffee producers in Latin America.

¡Hecho Con Orgullo Latino!

Mayorga is a company founded by a Latino with a focus on supporting producers in Latin America. For many years we dealt with corporate buyers and consumers assuming that our products were secondary quality. We are proud of who we are and want to be an example for others who have felt marginalized.

Our Origin Partners

We're big on getting to know the producers who grow our coffee. We work directly with farmer partners across Latin America to source the highest-quality organic beans.
